Poppy Scotland , ‘Elephants never forget’ project May 2014

Last week I was working with St John’s Primary 7 class in Port Glasgow doing a sculpture – making workshop on the theme of ‘Remembrance’.Chloe won the poster making competition put out by Poppy Scotland last year and her price was a lovely kindle fire and a 2 day class workshop with yours truly.

The kids worked wonderfully together creating 3 wonderful mod roc sculptures along the theme of ‘remembrance’ , their subject was elephants – inspired by the phrase ‘Elephants never forget’.
The kids really went to town on the theme and aesthetic of the pieces , developing super heroes like ‘Poppy phant’ and colourful shrines& indian inspired elephants like coby & eddie.Here’s some photos documenting their hard and glorious work –
